Well never had any time for poker last night since family got together to celebrate my parents 25th anniversary. After that I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean at midnight, very good, yet the end makes you wanting more, which I'm sure was the point but I thought it took away from the movie.
On another note I stumbled onto 2 articles I wrote a long time ago. I wouldn't take everything that is written to heart, since this was back when I thought $20 an article was worth my time and was new to poker, yet if your bored go ahead and read them. The cardschat site has come a long way since then, back when I wrote those articles there was only a couple hundred members.
I also added many new poker and gambling blogs for the side links. Hopefully people will notice and link back to me if they like my blog since I don't like going around emailing them or posting in comments to link to me.
Tonight I only have plans to play poker, I will be 4 tabling the 3/6 games for hopefully 3-4 hours at least. PartyPoker also has a deposit bonus on right now 25% up to $100, free money considering it just takes 1000 hands or so to clear. Should have that cleared tonight with ease.
Well it was another week where many things were happening and I hardly booked any hours at the tables. Here is what it looked like.
Blackjack
Hours: 6.1
Hourly Wage: $28.7/hr
Total Won/Lost: $175
Poker
Hours: 1
Hourly Wage: ($174/hr)
Total Won/Lost: ($174)
Overall
Hours: 7.1
Hourly Wage: 0.15/hr
Total Won/Lost: $1
What a week, if I keep this up I'm going to buy a car. On a more serious note, this week I'm going to get back to poker and hopefully get 20 hours in at least. I'm also going to be switching games. I'm going to be trying 3/6 limit short handed for my next 10,000 hands. I should be able to get more hands played then .50/1 nl because I'll be able to 4 table and its a faster pace. Limit should be more profitable since the rakeback will be more and just by making 1/bb an hour I should be able to make more then $25 an hour or close to it. I could try playing the 5/10 short games, yet I've played those before and the standard deviation is insane, so I'd want at least 5-7k because I try those games.
It is time for the review of my first month of poker/gambling since last year. It was a success to say the least, yet I'm not happy with the results since I know I could do better. Here is how the month ended up.
Poker
Total Won/Lost: $943
Total Hours: 54.70
Hourly Wage: $17.24/hr
Standard Deviation: $132.67
Blackjack
Total Won/Lost: $908
Total Hours: 13.8
Hourly Wage: $65.80/hr
Overall
Total Won/Lost: $1851
Total Hours: 68.50
Hourly Wage: $27/hr
I never received rakeback yet for the month, it should be near $300 so that would put me over $2000 for the month surpassing my $500 per week goal.
I played about 10,000 hands of hold'em for the month which isn't a great number, yet it gives a small base to see where I am. I ended up clearing about $5/hr per table which is good for $1 nl since its 5/bb, which is considered above average. Yet this upcoming week I'm going to be experimenting with some limits/games to hopefully make more money. I'll post more information on this tomorrow and post my weeks results, yet I hardly played.
Well the weekend is over and it was a blast. The weekend consisted of fishing, eating, drinking, relaxing and fireworks. The fish were biting and we hit our limit 2 of the 3 days for smallmouth bass. The weather looked like it was going to ruin the weekend yet the storm passed and we were able to enjoy the fireworks on Canada Day.
I got back last night and in my email I had some good news. GoldenPalce Casino has accepted my ID I sent them and my cashout is on its way to Neteller. I also cashed out my money from BeTheDealer after finishing their bonus with a profit of $175 after counting the $200 bonus, I'm just glad I don't have to play on that site anymore since I hated it. The speed compared to the other casinos was very slow.
Before I left for the trip I got to see Superman. I was very impressed with the movie, yet I wanted to see the kid end up saving the day. Looks like they set it up for many more movies in the future, hopefully there is. Also on the movie front I'm looking forward to see the new Pirates of The Caribbean movie this weekend, should be entertaining and well worth the $7.50 admission price.
Going to need to put in some hours at the poker tables soon, especially since I practically broke the bank the last week with the xbox 360 and today I bought a new tackle box, fishing net and some new lures. Well rakeback is coming in soon, that should help. I intend to play for a few hours tonight to get back in the swing of things. It's almost been 2 weeks without poker, hopefully I never forgot how to play.
Well I'm going fishing again this weekend, so poker is going to be put on hold abit longer. I should be home Monday and start playing again.
On another note, I've had a problem with GoldenPalace Casino. They have $600 of mine and don't want to let go of it. They sent an email to me saying that I need to scan them my license, bank statement and utility bill for them to verify that I am who I am. Well, license, I can agree with, yet bank statement - okay if its handy, yet I need to wait a month for my next one, utility bill - I don't have any utility bills. So I ending up sending them my license, a picture of a envelope with my information on it from Noble Poker, a picture of an envelope from Turning Stone Casino and hopefully that is good enough, else its going to be awhile before I get my money. Of all the places I played blackjack, the place I had my big win is the place that's being retarded. Oh well.
Well off to go fishing, be back Monday.
Considering how I played absolutely ZERO hours of online poker this week, it was my best week yet. Thank you blackjack, yet I've hit a another road block on the road of blackjack which I will post details about tomorrow. Here is how the numbers look for the week.
Blackjack
Hours: 10
Win rate per hour: $71.5
Total: $715
Live Poker
Hours: 2.3 hours
Win rate per hour: $52
Total: $120
Overall
Hours: 12.3
Win rate per hour: $68
Total: $835
Haven't been doing much the past few days, currently playing loads of Hitman: Blood Money for my new system, very good game in my opinion. Saw the new movie "click" with Adam Sandler, a must see in my books, great comedy yet still a meaningful story. Not much planned for tomorrow, I'll post the weeks results soon, yet its only blackjack and a short session of live poker. I will start playing poker again online this weekend, yet I should receive my shipment of 4 new 360 games tomorrow so I'm not sure how much I'll be grinding at the tables this week. By the middle of next week I plan to get back on the horse for poker, yet until then I will probably only put 10 hours or so online and 5 or so live, I am in summer holidays, time to take some time to have some fun.
